Fall 2009 – The Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) has awarded two additional contracts to South Wind to document remnant prairie locations in north Texas. Fall 2009 – South Wind will provide biological support services to Kemp Anderson Consulting for a USGS Desert Tortoise monitoring project. Summer-Fall 2009 – South Wind is conducting a 430,000 acre rangeland inventory for the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana. At the completion of the 2008 field season South Wind will have inventoried the entire Reservation. Spring 2009 – South Wind located and documented remnant prairie locations in four counties in north-central Texas for the Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT). Spring 2009 – South Wind provided biological support services to Kemp Anderson Consulting for a USGS Desert Tortoise monitoring project. Spring 2009 – South Wind provided biological support services to Ecosphere Environmental Services for a US Forest Service Mexican Spotted Owl monitoring project in northern New Mexico. Winter/Spring 2009 – South Wind completed a riparian restoration re-vegetation project on the Gunnison River in western Colorado. Fall 2008 -South Wind completed rangeland trend studies in the Trout Creek Mountains of southeast Oregon for the Bureau of Land Management. Fall 2008 –South Wind completed an Oregon Spotted Frog monitoring project for the Bureau of Land Management near Klamath Falls, OR. Summer 2008 – South Wind completed a 485,000 acre rangeland inventory for the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Crow Reservation in south-central Montana. Summer 2008 – South Wind completed rangeland trend studies for the Bureau of Land Management near Cody, WY. Spring 2008 -South Wind completed rangeland trend studies in the Jordan Valley area of southeast Oregon for the Bureau of Land Management. |
